Meet Our Functional Medicine Team

Functional Medicine Collaborative was founded by Sally Davidson, ANP, IFMCP, and Sean Foss, ND, LAc, who share a commitment to providing individualized, patient-centered care. Together, they created a practice that brings multiple healthcare disciplines together to better understand and address patients' health concerns.

Today, our team includes practitioners with backgrounds in functional medicine, naturopathic medicine, nursing, and nutrition. We work collaboratively to help patients better understand their health and develop personalized care plans.

With locations in South Dennis and Hingham, Massachusetts, and Johnston, Rhode Island, Functional Medicine Collaborative serves patients seeking a comprehensive, individualized approach to healthcare.

Co-Founder

Sally Davidson, ANP, IFMCP, is an Adult Nurse Practitioner and an Institute for Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner. She is also a co-founder of Functional Medicine Collaborative.

Sally's interest in functional medicine began in 2009 after reading Dr. Mark Hyman's book, The UltraMind Solution. The book introduced an approach to healthcare that reflected what she had been trying to accomplish within conventional medicine.

As Sally explains:

“Dr. Hyman described everything I was trying to do within the conventional model. The book came at a time when I was feeling so disenchanted with medicine and had thought about leaving medicine altogether. It gave me hope that we could change the way we practice.”
